Here at Sunstone Veterinary Specialists, we are a privately owned, people-driven, and kindness-rooted organization. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Critical Care Specialist (DACVECC) to help shape our Emergency and launch a Critical Care service—a long-anticipated addition championed by our entire hospital team since we opened Emergency Services in 2023.

The Opportunity: Leadership, Growth, and Unprecedented Support

Founded in 2015, Sunstone opened Emergency Services in 2023 and has been steadily expanding ever since. From the beginning, doctors across all departments, along with technicians, assistants, and referral coordinators, have been asking for a Critical Care Specialist to round out our collaborative care model and strengthen continuity of care across all specialties.

You are a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Criticalist (DACVECC) who values teamwork, communication, and compassionate, evidence-based care. You thrive in an environment that encourages curiosity, mentorship, and collaborative case management.

The Opportunity

Since launching Emergency Services in 2023, Sunstone’s ER has grown into a thriving, cohesive department where medicine is practiced with thought and care. Our cases are diverse, our caseload steady but sustainable, and our team deeply collaborative.

You’ll have direct access to specialists in Internal Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, and Surgery, as well as experienced technicians who thrive in emergency. About You

You’re a veterinarian with experience or strong interest in emergency and critical care medicine. You’re confident managing acute cases, collaborative with specialists, and grounded in empathy for both clients and colleagues.

You might be:
